Ingredients
- 1/2 c. rice
- 1 qt. milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. grated lemon peel
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. seedless raisins
Method
- Preheat oven to 300°.
- Combine rice, milk, sugar and salt; pour into buttered 1 1/2-quart baking dish.
- Bake in slow oven (300°) for 1 hour.
- Stir occasionally.
- Add lemon peel, nutmeg and raisins.
- Continue baking 1 1/2 to 1 1/3 hours.
- Makes 6 servings.
