Ingredients
- 2 c. self-rising flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. raisins
- 3/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts/pecans)
Method
- Mix together all dry ingredients well.
- Separately, cream shortening, sugars and eggs together well.
- Blend in flour mixture.
- Add raisins and nuts; mix well.
- Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 350° for approximately 10 to 15 minutes until light brown.
- Makes about 3 dozen cookies. Delicious!
