Ingredients

  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. oatmeal (1 c. quick oats and 1 c. old fashioned)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. chopped pecans
  • cinnamon to taste
  • raisins (optional)

Method

  • Cream shortening and sugars; add eggs.
  • Mix all dry ingredients together, then add to sugar mixture.
  • Add vanilla and cinnamon, along with nuts or raisins.
  • Drop by spoonfuls onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° about 12 to 15 minutes or until brown.
