Ingredients

  • 2 cups Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cups Margarine Or Butter
  • 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Peanut Butter
  • 1/2 cups Chocolate Chips (optional)
  • 3-1/2 cups Quick Rolled Oats

Method

  • Using a heavy sauce pan, bring brown sugar, margarine and milk to a boil. Let it boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add vanilla and peanut butter and mix until smooth and peanut butter is melted. Add the chocolate chips and oats and mix evenly.
  • Drop by the spoonful onto a parchment or wax paper-lined baking sheet.(You can put the sheet in the freezer to speed up the cooling process).
  • * Variation: you can add 1/2 cup of chocolate chips in when you add the peanut butter.
