- 1/3 c. flour
- 1/3 c. cooking oil
- 1 large onion
- 1 green pepper
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. ground red pepper
- 4 c. hot water
- 1 to 2 lb. chicken
- 8 to 12 oz. smoked sausage
- 1/2 lb. medium shelled shrimp
- hot cooked rice
- file powder (optional)
Method
- Preparation:
- Chop the onion and green pepper.
- Mince the garlic.
- Skin, bone and cut chicken into bite sized pieces.
- Cut the sausage into 1/2-inch slices and quarter each slice.
- Rinse, clean and halve the shrimp.
