- 2 lb. ground round
- 1/4 c. olive oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 (No. 2 1/2) can tomatoes
- 2 cans (6 oz. each) tomato paste
- 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 24 oz. cottage cheese
- 1 pkg. lasagna noodles (uncooked)
Method
- Brown meat in olive oil.
- Add onion and garlic.
- Cook until onion is transparent.
- Add tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, basil, oregano, pepper and bay leaf.
- Cover and simmer 1 hour.
