Ingredients
- 2 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 1 (5 oz.) can evaporated milk
- 1 c. marshmallow cream
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. peanut butter
Method
- Combine first 5 ingredients.
- Stir over low heat until well blended.
- Bring to a boil over moderate heat.
- Do not mistake air bubbles for boiling.
- Boil slowly, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes or soft ball stage.
- Remove from heat.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla.
- Turn into well buttered 9 x 9-inch pan and cool.
