Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz.) cans whole tomatoes
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. cilantro leaves
  • 1 medium jalapeno, minced

Method

  • Drain liquid from 1 can of tomatoes.
  • Pour into blender or food processor.
  • Pour entire contents of the other can into liquid from previous can of tomatoes.
  • Add onion, salt, garlic salt, cilantro leaves and jalapenos; blend well.
  • Add the tomatoes from the drained can; blend just slightly to break up the tomatoes into pieces.
  • Pour sauce into container and chill.
  • Will last for a couple of weeks in refrigerator.
