Ingredients
- 1 c. shortening (I use 1/2 oleo, 1/2 Crisco)
- 1 c. brown sugar (light)
- 1 c. granulated sugar (scant)
- 2 eggs
- 2 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 c. quick-cooking oats
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. golden raisins
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- You can add raisins to flour so they will not clump together.
- Beat well on low.
- Drop by teaspoons about 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake 12 to 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Yields about 5 1/2 dozen.
