Ingredients
- 1 c. warm milk
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. liquid shortening (Crisco)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 pkg. dry yeast
- 2 c. flour
Method
- Mix first 4 ingredients.
- Slowly add 2 cups flour; work a little.
- Let rise at least 3 to 4 hours.
- Knead and add a little flour, working in to get rid of stickiness, so it's easy to work with.
- Roll out to about a 13-inch pie.
- Spread 3 tablespoons olive oil on crust, leaving 1/2-inch from edge bare.
- Add sauce and cheese of your choice, leaving 1/2-inch from edge bare.
- Bake at 425° until cheese melts and crust is puffed up and brown.
