Ingredients
- 5 lb. hamburger
- 1 Tbsp. Tender Quick Morton salt (for curing)
- 2 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
- 2 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper
- 1 tsp. hickory salt
- 1 tsp. liquid smoke
Method
- Heat oven to 150°.
- Mix all ingredients together thoroughly on the first day.
- Refrigerate.
- Remix on second day.
- Refrigerate. Remix on the third day.
- Shape into 6 (4 to 5 ounce) rolls and refrigerate.
- On the fourth day, place on cookie sheet and bake in a 150° oven for 4 hours and turn on other side.
- Cook for another 4 hours.
- Cool 2 to 3 hours then wrap individually into regular Reynolds Wrap.
- Freeze to eat later or refrigerate to eat now. Serve cold slices as an appetizer or snack.
