Ingredients
- 3 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 sticks whipped margarine
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. milk
Method
- Cream
- Crisco and margarine.
- Add sugar and cream well. Add 1/2 flour and 1/2 milk, alternating and mixing well.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Add remaining flour and
- milk, mix well.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Pour in a greased and floured tube pan.
- Put in cold oven.
- Bake 1 hour at
- 325°,
- then turn oven to 350° and bake 25 minutes longer. Do not open oven until cake is done.
