Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. venison steaks
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme (if desired)
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c. catsup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp. prepared mustard
  • dash of Tabasco sauce

Method

  • Tenderize steaks with meat hammer.
  • (Use meat tenderizer if desired according to directions.)
  • Brown steaks in frying pan with extra oil as required.
  • Set in small roasting pan and set aside.
