Ingredients

  • 6 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 Egg (room temperature)
  • 175 ml Milk (room temperature)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 6 sausage
  • 6 tsp olive oil

Method

  • In a medium bowl, Whisk together the flour, salt and pepper.
  • Add beaten egg and half of the milk.
  • Whisk everything together with a hand blender or wire whisk.
  • Add a bit more milk and continue stirring until the batter is well mixed and smooth.
  • Strain and push any remaining lumps through a sieve.
  • Keep batter in the refrigerator for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 220C.
  • Put 1tsp oil and a sausage into each muffin cup.
  • Then, put the muffin pan in the oven for a few minutes or until the oil is very hot.
  • Carefully remove from the oven and quickly fill the cups.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown.
  • Serve with gravy sauce or ketchup.
