Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. butter or regular margarine
  • 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 (6 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Method

  • Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.
  • Cream butter, sugar and brown sugar at medium speed.
  • Add egg and vanilla, beating well.
  • Gradually stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture, blending well.
  • Stir in 2/3 cup of chocolate pieces. Spread mixture in an 8-inch square glass baking dish.
