Ingredients
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. canned pumpkin
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 2/3 c. flour
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. cloves
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Method
- Cream the shortening and sugar.
- Add water, eggs, and pumpkin. Combine dry ingredients; add to mixture.
- Bake in loaf pan at 350°.
- When cool, serve with whipped cream.
- This bread freezes well.
