Ingredients

  • 2 c. uncooked rice (long grain)
  • small onion, diced
  • small green pepper, diced
  • 3 1/2 c. water
  • 8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • diced tomatoes (small can)
  • all-purpose spices (Goya adobo, green cap)
  • salt (optional)

Method

  • Two cups raw rice is fried until golden brown.
  • Then add onions, green pepper and spices.
  • Mix together with rice for about 5 minutes.
  • Add water, tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.
  • Mix together (medium flame).
  • "DO NOT STIR WHILE COOKING; RICE WILL STICK TOGETHER".
  • Let cook about 15 to 20 minutes or until all water has evaporated.
  • Ready to serve and eat.
