Ingredients
- 1 turkey
- salt to taste
- butter or margarine
Method
- Place turkey in large stock pot (I use a canner).
- Place a saucer or small cake pan under turkey.
- Cover with water.
- Salt to taste.
- Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and cook until just done. Let cool until you can remove from pot.
- Place in broiler pan; rub skin with butter or margarine.
- Brown in oven.
- Use reserved stock for stuffing and gravy.
