Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup fine, dry breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (8-ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and diced
  • 2/3 cup orange marmalade
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • Hot cooked rice

Method

  • Combine first 6 ingredients; shape into 4 patties.
  • Cook patties in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 2 minutes on each side or until browned; remove from skillet. Add orange marmalade and next 4 ingredients to skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat; cook, stirring constantly, 6 minutes. Add patties; reduce heat to low, and simmer 10 minutes. Serve over rice.
