Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 sq. chocolate
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts (if desired; she never used them)
Method
- Cook sugar, syrup, milk and chocolate together until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Remove from heat and add butter.
- Cool until you can hold your hand on bottom of pan.
- Add vanilla (and nuts) and beat until creamy.
- Pour onto buttered platters.
- Cut in squares when cool.
