Ingredients

  • 1 can minced clams per person plus 1 extra can
  • 1 bottle clam juice
  • 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 5 or 6 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • parsley
  • oregano
  • black pepper
  • pinch of marjoram
  • red pepper (optional)
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • grated cheese
  • 1 lb. linguine

Method

  • Brown onion and garlic.
  • Add bottled clam juice and juice from the canned clams.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Lower heat and simmer.
  • Add oregano, parsley, peppers, marjoram, lemon juice and grated cheese.
  • Simmer for 20 minutes.
  • Throw clams in and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Boil and cook linguine; top with sauce.
