Ingredients
- 1 qt. vinegar
- 5 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. cloves
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 gal. raw beets
Method
- Wash beets and boil until fork-tender.
- Peel and cut to desired size.
- Boil vinegar, sugar, cloves and salt.
- Add beets and reheat to boiling.
- Pack into jars and cover with liquid. Seal.
