Ingredients
- 4 qt. cucumbers
- 1 c. mustard
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. pickling salt
- 2 Tbsp. pickling spice
- 1 gal. vinegar
Method
- Wash and examine cucumbers.
- If small, use the whole cucumber. If large, cut into strips.
- Pack into glass jars.
- Mix mustard, sugar, salt and spices together.
- Add the vinegar slowly, stirring well.
- Pour the brine over the pickles and seal.
- Put in a cool, dark place.
- After a week they are ready to eat and you don't have to heat the brine.
