- 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1/2 lb. ground turkey
- 1/2 green pepper
- 1 white onion
- 1 lb. Romano cheese
- 1 lb. low-fat cottage cheese
- 1 (29 oz.) tomatoes
- 1 (48 oz.) Prego extra chunky (6 vegetables)
- 2/3 c. Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 lb. lasagna
Method
- Cook ground beef and turkey; drain off fat.
- Add chopped garlic, chopped onion and green pepper, broken up canned tomatoes and spaghetti sauce, garlic powder and oregano.
- Simmer 45 minutes. Cook lasagna.
- Use 7 x 11-inch pan.
- Put sauce on bottom, lasagna layer, sauce, 1/2 pound Romano cheese, 1/2 pound cottage cheese, sprinkle Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat layers ending up with lasagna on top, with Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cook in oven 45 minutes at 350°.
