Ingredients
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. raisins
- 1 beaten egg
- 1 1/2 to 2 c. buttermilk
Method
- Set oven to 375°.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan; set aside.
- Mix flour, baking powder and salt.
- Rub in the butter, then add sugar and raisins.
- Add egg, then buttermilk until mixture is stiff, not runny.
- (If too runny, add a little more flour.)
