Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. blanched whole almonds, pecan halves, walnut halves or cashews
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Line baking sheet with foil; butter the foil.
- In heavy 8-inch skillet, combine nuts, sugar and margarine.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly 9 minutes or until sugar melts and turns a rich brown color.
- Remove from heat.
- Spread mixture onto prepared baking sheet.
- Cool completely.
- Break into clusters. Store tightly covered.
