Ingredients

  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 1/2 c. lukewarm water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3 tsp. salt (level)
  • 7 to 8 c. flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 c. soft shortening or oil

Method

  • Dissolve yeast in water.
  • In a large bowl, add sugar, salt and almost 1/2 flour.
  • Beat.
  • Add eggs and shortening.
  • Beat.
  • Add rest of the flour.
  • Knead and put in a large greased bowl.
  • Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  • Roll out dough and cut out for rolls. Place in greased (oil or shortening) pans.
  • Cook at 350°.
  • Brush tops with butter or margarine when you take them out of the oven.
