Ingredients
- 4 to 5 (28 oz.) cans Red Pack crushed tomatoes
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1/4 c. oregano
- 1/4 c. basil
- 1/4 c. parsley
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3/4 tsp. fresh garlic
- 1/4 c. Parmesan
- 2 bay leaves
Method
- Saute onion and garlic.
- Add tomato paste, stirring constantly.
- When mixed well, pour into very large pot and add crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, parsley and bay leaves.
- Bring to a boil and then simmer for 2 hours and 45 minutes.
- Add sugar and Parmesan cheese.
- Continue to simmer for 15 minutes.
- Let cool and store extra sauce in freezer.
- Makes a lot!
