Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. dry yeast
  • 2 c. very warm water
  • 1 1/2 sticks melted butter
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 4 c. self-rising flour

Method

  • Place yeast in 2 cups warm water.
  • Melt butter; cream with sugar in large bowl.
  • Add beaten eggs; add dissolved yeast to mixture.
  • Add flour and stir until well mixed.
  • Place in airtight bowl and keep in refrigerator.
  • Drop by spoonfuls in greased muffin tins.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Can keep in refrigerator for a few days.
  • Use as needed.
