Ingredients

  • 8 oz. ground beef, browned
  • 1/2 clove garlic
  • 1/2 small can tomato paste
  • 1/2 small can tomato sauce
  • 3/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1/8 tsp. oregano
  • 6 oz. cottage cheese (small curd)
  • 8 oz. box lasagne noodles
  • 4 oz. pkg. Muenster cheese
  • 4 oz. pkg. Monterey Jack cheese

Method

  • Boil noodles in salted water until soft, then drain.
  • Brown ground beef and add garlic, tomato paste, tomato sauce, salt, pepper and oregano.
  • Simmer for about 20 minutes.
  • Prepare a 2 to 2 1/2-quart casserole dish by spraying with Pam or rubbing with butter.
  • Layer noodles in the bottom of the casserole dish.
  • Add Muenster cheese, meat combo, Monterey Jack and cottage cheese in layers.
  • Repeat until all ingredients are gone.
  • Ideally, the last layer should be some kind of cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven at 375° for 20 minutes.
