Ingredients
- 3 c. cooked, sliced or diced beets
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Method
- Mix sugar and flour; add water and vinegar.
- Cook slowly until thick, about 10 minutes.
- Add salt and butter or margarine; then add beets.
- Cover and continue cooking about 10 minutes.
- Serves 5.
