Ingredients

  • 1 chicken or 1 pkg. chicken breasts
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • Cook chicken and remove from bone.
  • Cut into pieces and place in 11 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Mix soup and broth.
  • Heat to mix well.
  • Pour over chicken.
  • Mix flour, buttermilk and butter.
  • Pour batter over chicken and soup.
  • Bake at 425° for 30 to 35 minutes. Serves 8 to 10.
