Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 to 6 hamburger buns

Method

  • In a large skillet, cook beef, green pepper and onion, stirring to break up meat into small pieces.
  • When meat is brown and vegetables are tender, pour off excess drippings.
  • Mix vinegar, mustard, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire and pepper; add to beef mixture.
  • Cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon onto hamburger buns.
  • Serves 4 to 6.
