Ingredients
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. mustard
- 1/2 c. ketchup
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 to 6 hamburger buns
Method
- In a large skillet, cook beef, green pepper and onion, stirring to break up meat into small pieces.
- When meat is brown and vegetables are tender, pour off excess drippings.
- Mix vinegar, mustard, ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire and pepper; add to beef mixture.
- Cook over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Spoon onto hamburger buns.
- Serves 4 to 6.
