Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. cold water
  • 3/4 c. very hot water
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. diced, cooked ham
  • 1 c. grated process American cheese
  • 1/4 c. diced celery
  • 1/4 c. diced sweet pickle

Method

  • Sprinkle 1 envelope Knox unflavored gelatine on cold water to soften.
  • Add very hot water and stir until gelatine is thoroughly dissolved.
  • Add vinegar and salt.
  • Chill to unbeaten egg white consistency.
  • Fold in diced, cooked ham, grated process American cheese, diced celery and diced sweet pickle.
  • Turn into a 3-cup mold or individual molds.
  • Chill until firm.
  • Unmold on salad greens and serve with salad dressing.
  • Makes 4 servings.
