Ingredients
- 1 c. grits (quick cooking such as 5 minutes by Quaker or other brand)
- 4 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. stick Kraft garlic cheese
- 1 stick butter or margarine, melted
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. milk
Method
- Cook grits, water and salt in large heavy saucepan.
- Cook on top of stove for 5 minutes, stirring often.
- Remove from stove and stir in cheese and butter. Beat eggs into milk and add to grit mixture.
- Buttered bread crumbs may be added on top if you care for them.
- Bake about 45 minutes at 325°.
- A deep dish is good for baking.
- Jalapeno cheese can be used if you like the hot flavor instead of the garlic.
