Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. onion
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
  • 2 pkg. frozen French-style green beans, cooked, or 2 (1 lb.) cans

Method

  • Grease 1 1/2-quart casserole.
  • Melt butter and add next 5 items.
  • Gradually add milk and sour cream.
  • Cook until thick and add cheese and cooked beans.
  • Put in casserole and cover with slivered almonds.
  • Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
