Ingredients
- 5 fresh ears of corn
- 2 slices bacon
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of pepper
- 1/2 c. light cream
- 1 1/2 tsp. all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
Method
- Cut corn from cob; set aside.
- In 8-inch skillet, cook bacon until crisp; remove and crumble, reserving drippings.
- Add corn, milk, sugar, salt and pepper to reserved drippings. Cover and cook 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- In screw top jar shake together light cream and flour until combined, stir into corn mixture.
- Add butter or margarine, cook, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly.
- Garnish with crumbled bacon.
