Ingredients

  • 1 medium cabbage, chopped or grated
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 c. apple cider vinegar
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. celery seed
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. mustard seed
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 green pepper

Method

  • Sprinkle the salt over the cabbage and let set for 1 hour. Set aside.
  • Mix the vinegar, sugar, celery seed, water and mustard seed.
  • Bring to a
  • boil. Set aside and allow to cool.
  • Grate the carrot and chop the green pepper. Drain cabbage. Add other ingredients and toss. Refrigerate or freeze in portions to be used later.
