Ingredients
- 1 lb. almonds or English walnuts
- 1 lb. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 lb. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Method
- Chop nuts fine.
- In a heavy pan, cook butter and sugar.
- Cook and stir until dark tan (also can see a little smoke coming up). Pour onto two 12 x 24-inch buttered cookie sheets.
- Spread evenly. Pour over each pan 1 pound chocolate chips, spread evenly. Sprinkle nuts on top.
- Cut up after chocolate is very hard.
- (Very hard to cut.)
