Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. milk
  • 4 oz. grated American cheese
  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped broccoli or chopped fresh broccoli

Method

  • Cook onion in butter until soft.
  • Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
  • Add milk and cook, stirring constantly until mixture boils and thickens.
  • Add cheese and stir until melted.
  • In another pan, bring water, bouillon cubes and broccoli to boil until tender.
  • Pour entire mixture into cheese sauce and serve.
