Ingredients
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced bacon, diced
- 1/4 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- dash of ground nutmeg
Method
- About 50 Minutes Before Serving:
- Preheat oven to 425°.
- In a 10-inch skillet over medium-low heat, cook bacon until browned. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle cheese and half of bacon in pie crust.
- In medium bowl, beat eggs.
- Stir in half and half, salt and nutmeg.
- Pour into pie crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes.
- Turn oven to 325° and bake 20 minutes longer, or until set.
- Garnish with remaining bacon.
