Ingredients

  • 1 (8 oz.) pkg. sliced bacon, diced
  • 1/4 lb. Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie crust
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 c. half and half
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of ground nutmeg

Method

  • About 50 Minutes Before Serving:
  • Preheat oven to 425°.
  • In a 10-inch skillet over medium-low heat, cook bacon until browned. With slotted spoon, remove bacon to drain on paper towels. Sprinkle cheese and half of bacon in pie crust.
  • In medium bowl, beat eggs.
  • Stir in half and half, salt and nutmeg.
  • Pour into pie crust.
  • Bake for 15 minutes.
  • Turn oven to 325° and bake 20 minutes longer, or until set.
  • Garnish with remaining bacon.
