Ingredients
- 9 tbsp butter, chopped, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 None medium eggs
- 1 cup self-rising flour, sifted
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder, sifted
- None None Ganache
- 10 oz milk chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup cream
Method
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease and line an 8 x 12 inch cake pan. For the batter, beat butter and sugar together with an electric mixer, until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition. Fold in flour and cocoa powder, alternating with 2/3 cup water. Pour into pan and bake 35-40 mins, until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in pan 5 mins then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
