Ingredients
- 2 1/3 c. sugar
- 2/3 c. syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 egg whites
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Combine sugar, syrup, water and salt in a saucepan.
- Stir over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
- Increase the heat and boil steadily, without stirring, until thermometer reaches 265° or until it forms a hard ball in cold water.
- Remove from heat.
