Ingredients
- 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. onion salt
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. dill seed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1 beaten egg
- 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour
Method
- Soften yeast in warm water.
- Heat cottage cheese until lukewarm. Remove from heat
- and
- add
- sugar, onion salt, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and
- yeast
- mixture.
- Add flour gradually, beating well after each addition.
- Let
- rise
- until double
- (1 hour approximately).
- Stir down and put into
- bread pans.
- Let rise again until light, 30 to 40 minutes.
- Bake at 350°
- for
- 30 minutes.
- Brush with butter after it's out of the pans.
