Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1 c. cottage cheese
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. onion salt
  • 1 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 tsp. dill seed
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. soda
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 c. flour

Method

  • Soften yeast in warm water.
  • Heat cottage cheese until lukewarm. Remove from heat
  • and
  • add
  • sugar, onion salt, butter, dill seed, salt, soda, egg and
  • yeast
  • mixture.
  • Add flour gradually, beating well after each addition.
  • Let
  • rise
  • until double
  • (1 hour approximately).
  • Stir down and put into
  • bread pans.
  • Let rise again until light, 30 to 40 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°
  • for
  • 30 minutes.
  • Brush with butter after it's out of the pans.
