Ingredients
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/4 c. molasses
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. shredded coconut
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°.
- Cream the sugar and shortening.
- Beat in molasses and egg.
- Mix well.
- Add coconut and nuts; mix well. Drop on greased cookie sheet.
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Cool slightly and remove from cookie sheet.
- Yields 30 cookies.
