Ingredients

  • 1 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 4 boneless chicken breast halves
  • 6 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 7 oz. spaghetti
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c. melted margarine
  • 3 c. shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. dry white wine
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz. mushrooms, drained
  • 2 oz. pimento
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 2 1/2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 c. sliced almonds, toasted

Method

  • Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cut chicken into 1-inch cubes; add to water.
  • Cover and reduce heat.
  • Simmer 10 minutes or until done; drain.
  • Combine 6 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon salt and olive oil.
  • Bring to a boil and add spaghetti; cook 10 minutes or until almost tender.
  • Drain well and set aside.
