Ingredients
- 2 cups milk
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Method
- Scald milk.
- Beat egg yolks slightly, add sugar and salt. Stir constantly while adding hot milk.
- Beat egg whites to soft peaks and fold into milk mixture.
- Put into crust and sprinkle with nutmeg.
- Bake at 425 degrees for 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake for 25 minutes.
