Ingredients
- 2 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 2 sticks oleo
- 3 1/2 Tbsp. cocoa
- 1 c. water
- 1/2 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs
Method
- Combine in large bowl the flour and sugar. In a saucepan, bring to a boil the oleo, cocoa and water. Pour over dry mixture. Add the buttermilk, baking soda, vanilla and eggs. Beat well and pour into a greased and floured baking pan. Bake in 400° oven 25 to 30 minutes. Five minutes before cake is done, start making the following frosting.
