Ingredients

  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 4 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 14 cups fried onions, divided (such as French's)
  • 1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream, divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) package biscuits
  • 1 egg
  • 12 teaspoon celery seed
  • 12 teaspoon salt

Method

  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Brown hamburger, drain.
  • Mix hamburger, mushrooms, and 3/4 cup fried onions and place in a 3-qt casserole dish.
  • In a saucepan, heat cream of mushroom soup until bubbly, then add 1/2 cup sour cream and stir well.
  • Pour over hamburger mixture.
  • Cut each biscuit in half (semi-circles).
  • Place cut side down around the edge of your casserole dish.
  • Pour 1/2 cup fried onions in the center.
  • Mix 1/2 cup sour cream with the egg, celery seeds and salt.
  • Pour over the biscuits.
  • Bake for 30-40 minutes until biscuits are browned and center is bubbly.
