- 1 qt. frozen blackberries
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits
- 1 1/2 sticks butter
- 1 c. sugar (add more to taste)
- 1 tsp. lemon extract
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
Method
- Bring blackberries to boil in 2 cups of water; let boil about 10 minutes.
- Strain blackberries in colander to strain seeds. Combine blackberries and all ingredients, except biscuits, in pot. Cook on medium heat until boiling; let boil 10 minutes.
- Pinch off biscuits and drop into mixture to make dumplings (use at least 4 biscuits).
- Cook additional 10 minutes.
- Serves 6.
